Post Wedding
The wedding was a wonderful celebration. We had family stay with us from California, Colorado, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. We had a house full and it was great. DH and I decided on a river boat dinner cruise for the rehearsal dinner so all the out of town guests could have a nice view of our Cincinnati sky line. I must confess, a co-worker had mentioned this idea when her son was getting married and I thought it was a fantastic idea. Thanks Clare.
Here are my parents and my niece enjoying some conversation.
The bride and groom to be. (Lousy pictures, but I was more involved with having fun than taking excellent pictures).
My grandson getting to know his second cousin. They were so cute. He was the ring bearer and she the flower girl.
No wedding pictures to show you. There are bunches on facebook but I'm not computer savy enough to get them here. I didn't take one picture at the wedding. I didn't even take my camera.
It's amazing how much energy is expended for an event like this. I was worn out for a good week and a half. The day I felt like myself again was the night from H-E double hockey sticks at work. Haven't had a night that bad in a long time.
This turtle was high tailing it through our yard last Sunday morning. He/she is the second one this year. We've lived here 27 years and I've never seen a turtle here before. I was worried about where she was going but after checking the Internet I learned not to relocate them or it's usually disastrous for them. This was one big turtle. I put a Frisbee beside her for reference.
A few days before wedding week, my Needle Needs workstation was delivered. It was very frustrating not to be able to open it and set it up. I finally got the chance and put Susan Singleton on first. I LOVE it. I'm a hold in hand kinda gal but Susan has so much linen it was very awkward, bulky and not fun. Now I can stitch two handed (not hard to pick up in my opinion) and it's going much faster. Even DH noticed and THAT's saying something. I think it was a very good birthday gift to myself and will see much use. If you're debating the purchase, take the plunge. It's a great investment and the workmanship is wonderful.
Hopefully I'll see you more often .
